N. Kalna started working for UPB group as a legal assistant in 2001, and after two years, she continued her professional growth by working as a deputy director in the construction company NAMS. From 2006 to 2009, she led the UPB development department. In 2008, she became a member of the UPB group board and the CEO and worked on the board with the company founders Uldis Pīlēns and Oskars Mors until 2015. In addition to her work in the group's she participated in the establishment of the association "Stabilitāte" and has been the chairman of the association's board since 2005.
Colleagues describe Nora as a democratic leader with a broad vision and an ability to delve into details while not losing focus on the main goal.
Previously, she gained her work experience at LSEZ SIA Laskana as a lawyer. N. Kalna obtained her education in the finance field at the Riga International Business and Administration School, and in the field of law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia. She has also expanded her knowledge in public legislation, tax, and labor law.
